Manufacturing their first forklift in 1959, Linde have continued to produce top-of-the-range warehouse and logistics equipment used and recognised worldwide. They produced their first electric-powered forklift in 1971 and have since become well-known for both their electric and diesel forklift models.

Linde forklifts are manufactured in production and assembly plants across Germany, France, the Czech Republic, the US and China. The Linde brand started in Munich, and soon expanded. In 1977, Linde acquired Baker Material Handling Corporation, and in 1984 they acquired Fenwick, the largest French forklift manufacturer.
As part of the KION group since 2006, the Linde brand has representation in over 100 countries. Linde operates under CEO Andreas Krinninger, who is also President of the KION Operations Unit Linde Material Handling EMEA.
Having started off as a small foundation in Germany over 100 years ago, they are now one of the largest manufacturers of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment in the world.
